Overpriced and Poorly Managed – DC Steak House

First time at this steak house for a Christmas party with my husband (meal hosted and paid by a friend) , I ordered a small glass of house wine (9 dollars) , which was not very good in the first place and a lemonade (they informed me lemonade was no longer avaliable ) When my check came the lemonade charge was on the receipt and I informed them I needed it removed since I never received this item , they informed me they would remove it when they took back my card. Instead they charged me for the both drinks anyways and when I informed my waitress again that they had charged me for a drink I never received, the waitress apologized and informed me she wouldn’t charge me for either drink , so there would be no charge at all, and that the charge would come back to my bank after the weekend (which is why i never added a tip on the check) . When I checked my bank account Monday not only did they charge me for 2 drinks , but they also added a tip for themselves that I did not write on the check. They litterally paid themselves. No one answered the phone when I called twice . Would not recommend . 17.55 dollar charge for one glass of not very good house wine. (I added the original 15 dollar original charge so you guys could see how they added a tip for themselves on an order they were supposed to void and originally overcharged for) I expect this from Apple bees lol

Final Thoughts

For a place charging premium prices, this experience was unacceptable. I expected more professionalism and better customer care. Honestly, this is the kind of service I might expect at a chain restaurant like Applebee’s, not at a steakhouse that’s supposed to offer a finer dining experience. I wouldn’t recommend DC Steak House based on this visit.
